What does the filter candle remove from the water?
The resulting water has had 99% of chlorine and ammonia and up to 99% of bacteria and amoeba removed from the water. Also removed are 99% of all solids including aluminium, lead, copper, iron, manganese, zinc etc. In addition to using the water for drinking, consider how the taste and the flavours will be enhanced when used in cooking – only the natural flavours will remain. Plus tea and coffee – only perfection of flavour with no after tastes or odours
How does the filter candle work?
The process is straightforward. By filling the top reservoir with water straight from your tap, the forces of gravity naturally allow the water to seep through the micro-porous ceramic walls of the candle, which screens the water down to one micron and thus removing up to 99.8% of bacteria and suspended solids. Then the water passes through the activated carbon particle core which removes bad tastes and odours, dripping steadily and collecting in the bottom reservoir as clean drinking water.
How do I clean the filter candle?
The candle needs to be cleaned regularly by brushing under running water and replaced periodically, depending on the condition of your water supply. The ceramic candles should be replaced every six months to fully maintain their effectiveness. Cleaning instructions are provided with our purifiers and with replacement candles. We also recommend the use of ‘Virosil’ when cleaning your purifier, a few drops added to the influent water is an added safeguard against parasites in the water supply. ‘Virosil’ may be purchased directly from us.
What is 'Magnetic Therapy'?
The human body depends upon millions of tiny electrical currents to work and without them our tissues wouldn’t function properly, our blood wouldn’t carry nutrients properly and our brain could not function at all. All of these functions rely upon electro-magnetic forces to help maintain homeostasis – the natural balance of conditions inside the body so vital to good health. So, when magnets are applied, magnetic waves pass through the body, producing secondary currents and agitating the electrons in any affected area. The iron carried by the blood is attracted to magnetic fields and thus assists in the overall circulation of the blood, even in extremities.
What is the history of Magnetic Therapy?
The use of magnets dates back to around 150-200BC and at that time Greek physicians used this as a treatment for diarrhea and constipation and in fact pre-dates the Chinese use of acupuncture, whilst even Cleopatra, Queen of ancient Egypt, is said to have worn a magnet on her forehead to “keep her young”.
What is magnetic therapy used for?
Magnetic Therapists will treat disorders and diseases from Abscess’s to Whooping Cough, and a great many in-between, by suggesting a combination of orthodox medicine and natural therapies
What cautions need to be taken when using magnets?
If you have a pacemaker, are pregnant or epileptic or have any other concern about the use of magnetic products, please consult your Doctor. Further, do not use magnetic products near credit cards or computer equipment as they may be adversely affected
